Street Tee (Round Body SW) Instrumentation Fitting

Product Description

Street Tee (Round Body – SW) is a kind of plumbing or piping fitting intended to connect a piece of pipe and another fitting at an angle. The disparity between a street elbow and a usual elbow is the nature of the connections on either end. Street elbows are presented in 90°, 45° and 22.5° bends. They can be used in water supply, drainage, sewers, central vacuum systems, vents, compressed air and gas lines, HVAC, sump pump drains, and some location where plumbing fittings would be used to join sections of pipe.

The Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code of Canada (B149.1) states “a street elbow or a street tee shall not be used in a pipe system”. Tees are used to change the way of flow between two pipes. Tees are usually available with an angle of 22.5, 45 and 90 degree angle. If pipes are of similar diameter then normal tees are used otherwise Reducer elbows are used. Tees are made of special materials. These are usually coming with female threads and we can attach them by butt or socket welding also.
