Female Cross (Hex Body) is also known as four-way or cross branch lines with hex body shapes. It has one inlet and vice versa. It has often solvent welded socket or female threaded ends. These cross may induce stress with change in temperature because these are centered with four connection points.

These are commonly used in the fire sprinkler system where stress is caused by thermal expansions. These are not used for common plumbing applications. They are corrosive resistance to various reducing media. These are inherent to intergranular corrosion even in elevated temperatures. These possess good formability, machinability, and fabricability.
