Female Elbow (Round Body – SW) is used in pipe fittings to join straight pipe or allow changing direction, generally in 45- 90-degree angle. It is adaptable to different shapes and sizes. It is also used for regulation of fluid. The ends may be machined especially for this category. Different ends with different sizes are joined by the elbow. Customers choose them as per required length. Typically, these are used in the pressurized system and in physically tight conditions.
These elbows are used in low pressures gravity fed system and other usages where low turbulence and minimum deposition of solids are an issue. These are available in different metal forms, PVC, CPVC, and other alloys.
